Special Session on PSO @ evostar 2026
Following the success of the special session for 30 years of PSO, we decided to propose a new special session on PSO at the forthcoming evostar 2026. It was accepted!
The scope of the special session is anything related to PSO: theoretical analysis, novel operators, cutting edge applications, new and out-of-the-box ideas, reports of PSO’s superiority wrt any other algorithms for some applications, historical or retrospective information, convergence and stall analysis, PSO hybridized with other methods or algoritms, discrete, combinatorial, multi- and many-objectives variants.
The special session is contained in the track EvoApplications and is co-organized by Prof. Leonardo Vanneschi and Matteo Grazioso, PhD student under my supervision at Ca’ Foscari who did his first academic presentation ever (on hybrid PSO!) during evostar 2025.
